It only took about 40-45 minutes to get there.
We parked the car and made a walk through town to the Farmers Market.
Nicolas enjoyed an ice cream treat that stained his face blue for the rest of the day.

We also took a horse drawn carriage ride though historic Golden before leaving the farmers market. Then we headed back to the car along the river.
Nick couldn't wait to get his feet in that cold water.
On the way we stopped at a cool park. We ate some lunch and then drove 3 miles to Lookout Mountain

We made a short (but uphill) hike to the Nature Center!
Then made our way to Buffalo Bill's grave and museum.
The day wouldn't have been complete without a surprise stop at the Lego Outlet that is in a shopping mall we pass on the way home.
Can you guess how many legos make up that giant Sponge bob???? Nicolas guessed 11,000.
